THE PROJECT

Italian lawyers and labor lawyers (AGI) express strong concern about the lack of recognition of the human rights of women and men victims of armed conflicts, humanitarian crises and violations of the most elementary democratic rules.

However, the lawyers and labor lawyers are also firmly convinced that humanitarian corridors are not enough and will not be enough if the states of the European Union and Italy give asylum without offering a job and with it dignity, equality and inclusion to refugees.

On the basis of these considerations, AGI intends to launch, as a positive action, a permanent desk that it can offer, through the collection of information and requests, free labor law advice for refugees, so that asylum procedures are accompanied by those to facilitate access to work, so as to guarantee the best opportunities for employment, internship and training, assistance and income support for the effective exercise of all citizenship rights and for true social inclusion.

AGI will therefore present, on the occasion of a public event, the First Report on the Labor Condition of Refugees to illustrate the results of the consultancy provided and propose further positive actions to public and private institutions, to international, national and local organizations.

It should be emphasized that the issues of labor law are of immediate social and economic importance, affecting the constitutional right to work and the protection of the dignity of the individual. Labor lawyers take up this sensitivity and are the first to represent the needs of change imposed by the rapid progress of society and the economy and in fact the natural composition of the association, that is, of lawyers representing all the players in the labor market, allows AGI to be an effective and effective observer and interpreter of living labor law.
